Why does it matter?

My iTunes app abandoned me!
Here's the 'ChangeLog', chronologically, but with some time in between:
1. I added new mp3's to the library, renamed them manually and all
2. I changed the file structure of my homedir
3. I found out that I had three iTunes libraries and decided to replace the oldest one with the newest one and throw the others away. Seemed logical.
Now here's the deal. My library is gone.
Can someone look up/tell me the default location of the library?
In iTunes I can't find a feature to replace the current (empty) library with another one.
By the way, I recovered the other two libraries from the trash so should be able to fix it, I guess.. ;-)
