Some users may experience high CPU usage after launching Adobe products. If you think you are affected by this issue, check the following.

Jul 26, 2015  Using windows 7 and 2015.1 release of creative cloud with just lightroom, photoshop and bridge installed. I do not use any of the cloud storage services on online resources and have these set to off in the creative cloud desktop interface properties. I find that various background process get starte. To turn off everything Adobe launches at startup on the Mac you need to both disable its launchd jobs and the Adobe Core Sync extension. For the Adobe Core Sync extension, it is a Finder Sync extension so you can disable it under System Preferences → Extensions as described in this answer - https://apple.stackexchange.com/a/26. Sep 19, 2018  Hi, I'm using Lightroom Classic CC and Photoshop CC on a Mac OS 10.13.6 and I have installed Creative Cloud 4.6.0.384. Mac OS: Launch Activity Monitor, go to the CPU tab, and check whether CEPHtmlEngine Helper process is causing high CPU usage.

Windows: Launch Task Manager, go to the Processes tab, and check whether CEPHtmlEngine Helper process is causing high CPU usage.

If you find that CEPHtmlEngine Helper process is causing high CPU usage, try the following solutions:

Note:

If you experience this issue with Dreamweaver CC 2015, install the latest update to resolve the issue.

This issue can occur when Adobe products are unable to access or write to a log files folder. Check the folder listed below to ensure that it exists and your current user account has write permissions to change its content.

  1. Windows:

    • Access %USERPROFILE%AppDataLocalAdobeCreative Cloud LibrariesLogs from the search field in the Start Menu or from the Run command

    • Confirm that the folder exists and you have write permissions for it.
  1. Close any open Adobe products such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, or InDesign.

  2. Move the content from the folder listed below to somewhere else as a backup (in a folder on your Desktop for example). See the path below for the folder location by product.
